About Us
Ever noticed how archery design seems stuck between extremes? On the one hand, the sophisticated look of monochromatic carbon fibre. On the other hand, the rugged look of tried-and-true camo.
We want to change that. We want apparel and designs that go beyond. Designs we can wear all day, every day, both on and off the range. Designs that celebrate our sport and promote it for all to see.
Introducing Kingfisher Archery: Inspired designs that look as badass as we feel.
Hello! I’m Joe and I’m the founder and creative director of Kingfisher Archery. I started Kingfisher Archery as an outlet for my passion for archery and love for the outdoors, combined with my desire to introduce inspired design alternatives to the archery community. This brand reflects who I am and where I come from.
Hailing from South Africa, I have a deep connection with the country’s rugged Bushveld and captivating natural beauty. In my early teens, I moved to Canada with my family. There, I fell in love with its vast wilderness spaces and natural wonders. Over the years, America called to me with its deserts, mountains, and other majestic landscapes.
I fell head over heels for archery when I rediscovered an old compound bow in a family storage unit. Soon after, I started hunting and competing at archery events in Canada and across the border in America.
I enjoy this opportunity to share my vision and creativity with the world. I hope you love my creations as much as I do!
Because we love them! Kingfishers belong to the Alcedinidae family, which is known for its colorful and diverse species.
There are approximately 90 species of kingfishers, and they can be found on every continent except Antarctica.
Their lightning speed and precision when hunting and fishing make them Mother Nature’s original target archers.
Kingfishers’ ubiquity, flair, and natural precision inspire us and make them a perfect icon for our brand. Not to mention, we simply enjoy watching them in their element!
